Teeth are more than structures used for chewing. They are essential components that help maintain facial balance and overall contours.
We created a 3D animation that analyzes and visualizes how tooth alignment and jaw structure influence facial shape.
Particular focus was placed on demonstrating the progressive changes that can occur when missing teeth are not properly restored with dental implants, including:
⦁ Alveolar bone resorption
⦁ Movement of adjacent teeth
⦁ Changes in occlusion
⦁ Loss of volume around the mouth
⦁ Alterations in the lips and lower facial contour
Using anatomy-based modeling, these processes were reconstructed in a clear and dimensional way.
By visualizing changes in the underlying bone structure and the disruption of internal oral pressure balance, the animation helps viewers intuitively understand how tooth loss can affect not only oral function but also the overall facial structure.
This project serves as a 3D visualization that provides a structural and scientific explanation for the importance of dental treatment.
